Patriotic Front outspoken Member Opper Hamiyanze has reacted angriry to reports that some retrenched workers wants to protest at late president Frederick Chiluba.
Hamiyanze who is also Spokesperson for Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa says the person behind loss of jobs was opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema. He said Hichilema was the one who under-valued the mines during privatisation hence loss of jobs.
“They are following a dead man so that he does what? The person who caused them to be retrenched is Hakainde who valued the companies at a very low value to benefit himself. Let them go and see him,” Hamiyanze said.
ZDDM, an opposition party with leaders of six retrenched workers will hold protest prayers at Chiluba’s grave this week before handing over a petition to Acting president Edgar Lungu to push for payment of the retrenched workers.
