G7, G9 results out

The 2023 grade seven (7) and grade nine (9) results have been announced today.

Minister of Education, Douglas Siakalima announced that Zambia has recorded 53.55% pass rate for grade 9 and 69. 7 pass rate for grade 7.

Speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka today, Siakalima said that, out of the 291, 894 candidates that sat for the 2023 Grade 9 Examination, 156, 315 candidates have qualified for grade 10 selection.
Siakalima says this translates to 53.55 percent pass rate, showing a marginal decrease from 54.16% recorded in 2022.

He said that, of those that have progressed, 74, 375 are boys and 81, 801 are girls.

Meanwhile, Siakalima also said that, 316, 690 out of 454, 213 Zambian candidates who sat for the 2023 grade 7 examination are eligible for selection to 8, translating to 69.72 percent pass rate.

He further reveals that, of the successful 165, 131 are girls, while 151, 559 are boys.
