The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has increased fuel prices for the month of October 2023.

ERB Board Chairperson, Reynolds Bowa said Petrol will now sell at K29.98 ngwee from K29.42 ngwee per litre, while Diesel is now at K29. 96 ngwee per litre from K26. 88 ngwee per litre.

Bowa says the price of Kerosene will remain the same, at K20. 44 ngwee per litre, while Jet A One will be at K29. 29 Ngwee from K26. 46 Ngwee.

He said the main drivers for the changes in petroleum prices are due to the movements in international oil prices and the depreciation of the Kwacha.

Bowa stated that this situation has put upwards pressure on the domestic prices of fuel.
