Four people survive plane crash in Mulobezi, police

Four people including the pilot have survived with minor injuries after their plane crashed in Mulobezi District of Western Province.

Investigations have since revealed that the cause of the plane is as a result of a suspected engine failure.

Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale has told #Mwebantu that a pilot identified as Krestah Hanongo aged 43 of Livingstone with three other passengers identified as Andries Stephanie Du Plesis aged 54, his Son Staphan Du Plesis aged 26 and Victor Boshoff aged 54 crashed shortly after taking off from Mulobezi Airstrip on February 27, 2022 at around 13:39 hours.

“Initial investigations revealed that the aeroplane bearing registration number 9JRDN crashed as a result of suspected engine failure,” he said. -Mwebantu
