Former Presidents son still under investigation

Daliso Lungu son to former president Edgar Lungu is still under investigation, the Joint Investigations Team has confirmed.

The JIT comprising of law enforcement agencies says Daliso who is Director of Saliod Traders Limited is being investigated for being in possession of properties reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.

This is contrary to section 71 (1) of the Forfeiture of Proceeds of Crime Act Number 19 of 2011.

Daliso aged 35 of Kanakantapa area in Chongwe District is one of the two Children of Lungu who are under probe by the UPND Administration. The other one is Tasila Lungu who is PF Chawama Lawmaker.

Earlier today, around 10:00 hours, Daliso appeared before the Investigations Team in Lusaka demanding the release of his seized assets which are currently under investigations.

Police Deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale says he was advised that the matter is still under investigations and that he will be communicated to as soon as investigations are concluded.
