Former Health Minister, Honeybee Directors court case adjourned

Former Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya and three Honeybee Directors court case has been adjourned to December 8, 2022.

The hearing which was scheduled for today November 9 , 2022 could not take place.

According to the lawyer Tutwa Ngulube, none of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) officers showed up at the court.

Ngulube said the call was made as to why no one came, in response, ACC said they forgot if the court case was taking place today.

This is in the case where ACC arrested Chilufya, together with Former Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Caroline Mulalelo Kakulubelwa and three Honeybee Directors for corruption, involving US$17,958,150.00.

Details are that on dates unknown but between 1st January and 31st January 2021, Dr Chilufya, Kakulubelwa, Honeybee directors and other unknown persons did conspire to defraud the government of the Republic of Zambia.
