Miles Sampa

Drama has continued in the opposition PF faction led by Miles Sampa with his Central Committee now announcing his expulsion from the party.

Sampa a few days ago announced he had dropped Morgan Ng’ona as Secretary General and taken over the position until further notice. Sampa also held a meeting with former president Edgar Lungu whom he had attempted to grab the PF from. After that meeting Sampa announced changes of his faction party leadership in Parliament.
But today Ng’ona at a media briefing announced that the PF Sampa led faction Central Committee met and resolved to expel him (Sampa) from the party for associating with leaders of the United Kwacha Alliance (UKA). They also accused Sampa of making unilateral decisions without the blessings of the PF faction Central Committee.
Ng’ona said the faction has appointed Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Robert Chabinga as Acting President.
And speaking at the same event Chabinga said he will also continue to be leader of the opposition in Parliament and dismissed all the changes Sampa had made in the House.
