UPND in Lusaka has described the statements from the opposition PF over the funeral of late former President Edgar Lungu as provoking.

And provincial Chairman Obvious Mwaliteta says the PF must step aside and let government and Lungu’s family manage the funeral.

Speaking when he commented on the happenings where the PF and Lungu’s family have stated that Lungu’s was mistreated and not treated as a former President, Mwaliteta said what happened must be overlooked for now to ensure a dignified funeral is held.

Earlier PF Vice president Given Lubinda directed that Lungu be mourned in Party designated places.
