DISTURBING TREND: Zambia records 15 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, Nakonde border closed

Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has revealed that the country has in the last 24 hours recorded 15 news cases of COVID-19 and discharged 5 patients increasing the number of recoveries to 117.

The 15 patients tested positive out of 250 tests conducted during the period under review.

The total number of COVID-19 cases has now cumulatively risen to 267.

Meanwhile, new measures have been taken by President Edgar Lungu in response to yesterday’s figures.

These are the measures; with effect from tomorrow, Nakonde border will be temporary closed, no traffic in and out of Nakonde.

He also ordered the deployment of more health staff.
