Disclose investigations findings about Prof. Chirwa, govt told

The African Parliamentary Against Corruption  (APNAC) has challenged the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to release the findings of the investigations on former Zambia Railways Boss, Professor Clive Chirwa.

APNAC Chairperson  Cornelius Mweetwa said the ACC should make the findings public  and avoid speculations. Mweetwa said in an interview that the case of Prof. Chirwa was of public interest and should therefore be reavealed.

And Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) Executive Director Goodwell Lungu said government should have first disclosed the findings before retiring Prof. Chirwa. He suspected that  government want to short circuit the  process stating that it should therefore state the findings.

He stated that ACC should also disclose whether the now retired Professor was cleared.

Government has retired Prof. Chirwa as Zambia Railways Boss after the ACC had instituted investigations against him over misappropriation of funds.
