We have taken over and in control of five provinces, said Democratic Front president Miles Sampa who is also leader of the Orange Alliance (OA).

Speaking this evening, Sunday, March 13, 2016 when he featured on Muvi Television’s Assignment programme, Sampa said his party had come with a bang adding that no one will stop it.

Sampa who recently quit Patriotic Front (PF) said his party has sent shivers to the ruling party. He said this was evident from maneuvers by PF to stop him from launching DF. He claimed that DF was in total control of the Copperbelt province.

He explained that DF has over 50 percent of support in Northern, Muchinga, Luapula and Lusaka provinces. He said Eastern was also following suit and the people in the province have invited him to visit the province.

Sampa said he is able to quantify the support based on the feedback on the ground which the intelligence had passed to the PF leadership hence the panic. He explained that if he was not a factor then the PF was not going to be bothered to try and stop him from entering the Copperbelt when he went to launch DF.

He recalled that the PF had to send truckloads of thugs who besieged Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport to him from landing. He also cited the action by Minister of Home Affairs to deregister DF over a dispute in ownership and the switching off of the signal at a Mpika Radio where he was supposed to be hosted.
