Zesco will start a countrywide load shedding of 8 hours per area per day.

The load shedding will start on 11th March 2024 in a 3 tier schedule.

ZESCO Managing Director Victor Mapani says the schedule will be out this coming weekend.

Mapani says the load shedding is due to the 700 megawatts deficit, due to the impact of El Nino.
