ConCourt ruling outcome on Mwanakatwe was expected

The Concourt ruling in favour of the Minister of Finance hon Magarate Mwanakatwe was well anticipated the fact the concourt used logic and emotions rather than the law.
The evidence against hon Margaret Mwanakatwe was overwhelming,Corruption,bribes, violence and other electerol malpractice was well documented.
The concourt has used emotions maybe to please the appointing master. They have used a theory of never bite the finger thats feed you.
The appointing authority is not only the head of state but also the President of a political party and a politician.Do you expected the opposition to get a fair trial when the Judges are appointed by the President of the ruling Party?. The answer is definitely NO!.
The concourt judges have used logic and not law to defend the office of Minister of Finance to protect our defunct economy from further deterioting.
Nullifying hon Magarate Mwanakatwe’s would have sent the wrong signal to the outside world and investors. Just imagine if it is reported that Zambian Finance minister’s paliamentary seat nullified because of corruption,taking in consideration that large part of the economy is based on perception.
But where does this leave the precidence?.it is not the first time concourt has suffered an embarrassment ?.
It is our plea that concourt Judges be appointed by the commission that is constituted and approved by parliament and not been appointed by the President of the governing party for the opposition to get a free and a fair trial.
