Choma cop nabbed for corrupt practices

The Anti-Corruption Commission in Choma has arrested a Zambia Police Officer for corrupt practices involving K2,000

Evans Salumayi Masumba aged 31 of House Number B33, Chandamali, in Choma has been charged with one count of corrupt practices by a Public Officer contrary to Section 19 sub section 1 of the Anti-Corruption Act number 3 of 2012 of the Laws of Zambia.

Details are that on unknown dates but between 1st August, 2016 and 31st August, 2016 Evans Salumayi Masumba , being a public officer namely Officer in the Zambia Police Service jointly and whilst acting together with other unknown persons corruptly solicited K2000 from Pythias Sikabondo as a inducement to discontinue criminal investigations against the said Pythias Sikabondo, a matter or transaction concerning the Zambia Police Service ,a Public Body.

Masumba has since been released on Bond and will appear before the Choma Magistrate Court soon.
