Chitalu Chilufya promises ‘big’

Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya says Government will continue building schools and health institutions in line with the Seventh National Development Plan (7thNDP) and President Edgar Lungu’s agenda for the country.
And Dr Chilufya who is Mansa Central Member of Parliament says he is happy that Musonda Falls in Luapula Province has been upgraded to improve electricity supply to the local people.
Speaking in an interview, Dr Chilufya said Government’s desire is for Zambia to attain Universal access to education and health.
“The President of the Republic of Zambia has a clear vision for this country and we are trying to replicate that with at constituency level. It talks of education and that is what we are doing for the people. We are working hard to get access to education for our children. Our vision is to push for universal education and health. So, we build clinics for health services and we are working together to see how we can improve agriculture, building roads and women empowerment,” he said, “All this is in line with the vision of the party, the PF party, the President and line with the country’s vision, the Seventh National Development Plan,” Dr Chilufya said.
Dr Chilufya said the PF Government is
accelerating in it’s inclusive development agenda.
“We are accelerating in our development agenda. President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s leadership has been catalytic to Zambian development. We have seen that in the spirit of the Fifth National Development Plan, particularly human development, there is a lot of investment in education, health and this has trickled through other sectors. As you know, if you have a healthy and literate society, you see benefits in many areas. As you know, when you educate a child, especially a girl child, it means you enhance human survival,” the Health Minister said.
And Dr Chilufya said Government has made a lot of progress in improving electricity supply for the local people.
“There is a lot of progress, we have seen the Penslo line upgraded, we have seen Musonda Falls Power Station upgraded. So, there is a lot of progress in translating the huge water mass to improved electricity supply for our people and that is an important aspect for us as a party that cares for the poor,” he said.
