Chinese President Xi Jinping Welcomes Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in Beijing
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday hosted an official welcome ceremony for Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing as she continues her seven-day state visit to China.
The ceremony featured a 21-gun salute at Tian’anmen Square, the playing of the national anthems of Namibia and China, and an inspection of the guard of honor by the two leaders before a military march-past. President Nandi-Ndaitwah’s visit underscores the longstanding diplomatic and economic ties between Namibia and China.
Before arriving in Beijing, she visited Guangzhou and Chengdu, where she held engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
