Central Committee suspends Guy Scott

Chaos have continued in the governing Patriotic Front with the Central Committee suspending Guy Scott from his position as Acting President.

The Central Committee has since taken powers and will ran the party in the interim. Directed Acting Secretary General to surrender issues related to the presidential applications

Earlier 70 Members of Parliament supporting the candidature of Edgar Lungu petitioned the Central Committee to suspend Dr Scott as Party president.

The MPs who had a meeting last evening and held a media briefing Friday morning are demanding that that the Central Committee suspends Dr.  Scott for allegedly abrogating the party constitution.

Eastern Province Minister Malozo Sichone who spoke on behalf of the MPs alleged that Dr. Scott has acted outside the law frequently.
