Celebrated marriage counselor Iress Phiri dies

Alangizi National Association founder Iress Phiri has died. She is best known for her role on Muvi TV’s Spit it Out show.

Muvi TV have confirmed on their Facebook page that Phiri died after an illness on Thursday night at Maina Soko Military Hospital in Lusaka.

Phiri served as matron at the Evelyn Hone College before retiring to concentrate on her vocation as a marriage counselor.

She won public acclaim for her no holds barred approach to addressing issues of marriage and relationships on the popular Muvi TV show Spit it Out which ran for several years.
