Some members of the campaign team for the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in the forthcoming Lukulu West constituency has disclosed that their candidate is difficult to sell to voters comparing selling her like ‘selling dog meat’ to a human being.

Insiders within the campaign team told Zambian Eye that they were facing problems in campaigning for Eileen Imbwae whom they say was not popular in the area. PF campaign insiders say what was making the whole process difficult was that the party – PF was also not on the ground in the area.

“It is difficult my brother, she is not sellable its like selling dog meat to human beings who don’t eat it,” a member of the campaign team told Zambian Eye in Lukulu West on Thursday, April 18, 2013. “To make the matter worse, the PF is not known here it is just trying to make entry in the area.”

The PF members charged that it will be a miracle for the ruling party to win the seat even by employing rigging tactics.

The Lukulu West by-election takes place on April 23, 2013 and is contested by opposition UPND who are fielding Misheck Mutelo and Mubita Sikwa running on United Liberal Party of Sakwiba Sikota.

  3. truly there is time for everything, so it is time for the opposition. Considering that these by elections are caused unnecesarily and a share waste of tax payers money it will be a lesson to learn.
