Cadres pocketing K13,000 daily

Another matrix of events developing at Kulima Tower where suspected United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres are pocketing k13,000 on a daily basis.

According to Phoenix news, Kulima Tower currently provides 13 traveling routes within Lusaka, for each route is expected to pay one thousand kwacha (k1000) by the drivers using the specified course.

Bruce Mukumbila spoke on behalf of the affected drivers and explained “officials who have formed and running the branch come into the station to collect at least K1000 from each of the 13 drivers receiving money on that particular day thereby collecting a total of K13, 000 a day to finance the branch they are operating in the station”.

These revelations only came to light after some drivers refused to pay the cadres who then kicked them out of the station despite the government claiming that it ended carderism.

Similar rumors have been heard in other bus stations awaiting for confirmation.
