Cabinet payroll boss summoned by ACC

A senior Cabinet official who is in charge of remuneration, Stardy Mwale, has been summoned to appear before the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

In a summon notice dated 17 August 2020, Mwale is expected to present himself before the anti-graft body soon.

Meanwhile, the summoning of the payroll boss comes soon after President Edgar Lungu had acussed the ACC of trying to remove him from power.

Speaking when he toured Chifuba Market in Ndola recently, Lungu said the fight against corruption in Zambia has been anchored on politics.

He claimed that the anti-corruption advocates are planning a regime change.

Recently, Lungu transferred Mwale from Ministry of Defence to Cabinet Office Permanent Secretary in charge of remuneration.
