Bring all your money to Roan, Kambwili mocks Lungu
National Democratic Congress (NDC) consultant Chishimba Kambwili has declared that no amount of money and government machinery will prevent the PF from suffering defeat in the forthcoming Roan parliamentary by-election.
Kambwili, who’s expulsion from Parliament has necessitated the by-election, is brimming with confidence after the NDC candidate Joseph Chishala successfully filed in his nomination papers on Thursday along with three other candidates namely; Joel Chibuye (PF), Mwansa Chama (PAC) and (UPPZ).
The 39-year-old Chishala, who is a former trade unionist, was the first to file in his nomination papers at Roan Antelope Secondary School in Luanshya and was escorted by Kambwili and UPND deputy secretary general Patrick Mucheleka.
The UPND is not fielding a candidate in the Roan by-election but will instead throw its weight behind NDC candidate Chishala.
After Chishala successfully filed in his nomination papers, Kambwili wasted no time in declaring him the best candidate and could not resist to take shots at his former party the PF.
“Joseph Chishala was a vocal leader within the Mine Union of Zambia and like me he was persecuted for fighting for the poor miners.
“I would like to thank my media guys from the PF for creating such a wonderful buzz around NDC. Your propaganda surrounding my son led you into a ditch but now we have delivered a viable candidate.”
He dared President Edgar Lungu bring all his money and state machinery “so that the people of Roan can enjoy the money that they wouldn’t enjoy had it not been for an election”.
“To President Lungu I want you to come to roan with all your money, all your helicopters, all your busses, all your vehicles including the fire tenders, make sure you also come with Davies Mwila I would like to deal with you and not these little babies your brought to roan constituency,” Kambwili said.
“The ground is fertile I want all government machinery in roan so that the people can enjoy government money that you wouldn’t give to them had it not been for an election.
“I will be waiting on the ground!
“I repeat, bring all your money to Roan we chew it for you, those K20 Bowman (Lusambo) was giving out are too small. We need millions of kwacha pumped into Roan Constituency.”
Meanwhile, Five Political parties have successfully filed in their nominations for the Bahati Parliamentary by-election.
The five candidates are Charles Chalwe (PF), Jerry Bwalya (UPND), Emmanuel Chabwe (FDD), Clement Mwila (UPPZ) and Isaac Lukwesa (PAC).
And all the candidates have expressed optimism that they will scoop the April 11 by-election.
