Bowman sued over K70,000 balance on property

Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo has been dragged to court for failing to pay a balance of K70, 000 on a property which he purchased at K350, 000 on 18th March, 2017.

The owner of the property, Coxcy Mudenda, is seeking for a declaration that there is no contract between the two parties as the minister has breached the contract in question.

Mr. Mudenda is also asking for an order that Mr. Lusambo immediately vacates the subject premises and that he should also pay damages for breach of contract.

According to a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High Court, Mr. Mudenda states that on March 18, 2017, he entered into a contract of sale with Mr. Lusambo relating to proposed subdivision of Block IC of the said plot, at a total cost of K350, 000.
