Bonny Kapeso appointed deputy police chief

President Edgar Lungu has with immediate effect appointed Bonny Kapeso as Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, replacing Malcolm Mulenga whose contract has not been renewed.

Kapeso was until his appointment serving as Police Commissioner for Southern Province.

State House spokesperson Amos Chanda announced this at a media briefing today.
