African Management Services Company holds stakeholders meeting
The African Management Services Company (AMSCO), this morning held a stakeholder meeting under the theme: Leveraging the Right Capital for Emerging Business Growth at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel, Lusaka.
In attendance were representatives from the World Bank, UNDP, AfDB, government and the private sector. The Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet, Ambassador Peter Kasanda officiated as Guest of Honour and launched the workshop.
In a speech read by Ambassador Kasanda on behalf of the Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr. Roland Msiska, Dr. Msiska said government was happy to work with institutions such as AMSCO whose core focus and vision is to assist African enterprises in becoming globally competitive, profitable and sustainable.
He added that government shall continue to place emphasis on improving and strengthening Zambia’s business and economic environment to make it easier for private investment to flourish, with a deliberate emphasis on the SME sector.
The AMSCO CEO, Paul Malherbe mentioned in his address that AMSCO has taken hands with the Embassy of Sweden, the Government of the Republic of Zambia and other role-players to bring public and private sector organisations together under a business development facility that will change the face of economic development on the continent.
