ACC record a warn and caution statement from Kambwili

The Anti Corruption Commission has recorded a warn and caution statement from NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili.

Kambwili who arrived at the ACC offices accompanied by his Secretary General and other party officials at 9:30 only left the ACC building at 15hrs after a warn and caution statement was taken for allegedly receiving property believed to be proceeds of crime.

He was warned and cautioned in the morning but was held in one of the interrogation rooms without explanation despite his lawyers making requests that he’s excused on account of his health.

Kambwili only stormed out of the ACC offices after his party organised some youths who went to offer solidarity and made some noise at the Anti Corruption House.

The former information minister complained after walking out of the ACC offices that he had been kept without food for many hours although he made them aware that he needed to eat and take medication as he was diabetic.

Kambwili has since called a press briefing at his house this afternoon.
