The Tourism and Arts Minister Ronald Chitotela has called on students from institutions of higher learning to consider investing in domestic tourism, hospitality and promote the country as a great tourist destination.

Chitotela said the tourism sector is now being considered more economical than the social sector because of the value addition chain involved.

He added that government has exempted lodges and hotels from paying tax annually, making it easy for their businesses to thrive.

The Minister said this when he conducted a lecture at the University of Lusaka today.

He also urged students to make follow-ups on Presidential and Ministerial speeches in that regard and stay informed.
