90 Constituencies: Lungu maintains slender lead over HH

Ruling Patriotic Front (PF) candidate Edgar Lungu has maintained his slender lead against his fierce rival United Party for National Development (UPND)’s Hakainde Hichilema as the counting and verification of ballots continues.

From 90 constituencies so far counted and validated, the PF leader has 590,252 (50.75%) votes against the UPND leader’s 524,976 (45.54%). in third position is Nevers Mumba of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) with 8, 831 votes.

Of the ten added, one is from the Copperbelt (Bwana Mukuba) another one from Southern Province, two from Western and six are from Luapula and Northern provinces respectively. These are Lukasha, Mansa Central, Kaputa and others.
