3 MPs survive road accident in Siavonga

Three UPND Members of Parliament from have survived a road traffic accident in Siavonga.

The accident that happened around 15:30 hours this afternoon involved  Mapatizya’s Clive Miyanda, Mundia Ndalamei from Sikongo and Siavonga’s Darius Mulunda.

The vehicle carrying the three Parliamentarians is believed to have overturned around Chalokwa area of Siavonga Constituency. The MPs together with their driver sustained bodily injuries and are being attended to at Siavonga District Hospital.

According to a reliable source, the three MPs are a part of a ten-member team of MPs under a Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurance, touring Government funded projects in Siavonga which has stalled. Prior to inspecting the Clinic project in Chalokwa the Parliamentary Committee inspected the Siavonga District Administration Block, post office, medium and low cost houses for civil servants, the police post and the housing units for the police.

The Committee is being headed by Mufumbwe’s Eliot Kamondo.
