12 Accountants fired for “theft” of K453, 998 at Finance

Government has fired 12 accountants for misappropriation of over K453, 998.

The money went missing at the Ministry of Finance as a result of the crash of the Integrated Financial Management Information System.

And Vincent Chaile President for Radical Revolutionary Party (RRP) has welcomed the firing of the 12 Accountants.

“This is positive step from govt, but we are interested in real criminals cited in the financial intelligent report of 2017,” stated Chaile.

Zambia incurred estimated losses of K4.5 billion through corruption and tax evasion but up to now no one has been brought to book.

“This is unfair ,the unjust way of fighting against corruption.Govt is quick act on K453,998 and fail to act on k 4.5 billions,” Chaile said.
