1 killed, 6 seriously injured in Mazabuka accident

One person has died, while six others were seriously injured in a road traffic accident in Mazabuka.
The accident which occurred at around 05:00 involving a Tata light truck took place along Great North Road at Block D area.
The deceased has been identified as Neatness Sikalinda of Monze.
The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene after the accident.
According to police, the driver was speeding and failed to control the vehicle resulting in an accident.
