Zambian ladies are pathetic, says President’s Daughter

The daughter of Rwanda president Paul Kagame, Miss Ange Kagame, says women can be beautiful without wig and makeups, and work for their own money, not depending on men to pay their bills. She has asked Rwandese ladies not to copy Zambian ladies who apply make-ups and wear a lot of wigs while looking for sponsors to give them money !!!

Do you agree with her? Well, this is her picture.

  1. The appropriate responses can only come from those she is referring to. However its the usage of the word “pathetic” here that is worrying. Is it in the president’s daughters language or the reporter’s describing the Zambian ladies as being vulnerable to artificial cosmetic touch ups on themselves through male pittance?

  4. Azimai kakopedwe. Africans are full of copy and paste!!! Why can’t we have our own wedding ceremony..? Our own African cake? Our own traditional foods. Our own traditional drinks at weddings? Copy and paste is very expensive as we have to import everything. Why are we failing to be real? Our leaders need to help us.

  6. While suppliers of these complexion changing creams and hairs are cashing in, we pride in wearing dead people’s hair from Brazil, India and elsewhere. To be honest, I have great admiration for our women who have natural complexions and spot natural hair. Even those women who clean-shave their heads look beautiful. Rather than looking at this girl’s comment as an affront to our women, I advise that they should take it as a wake-up call for them to return to that natural beauty of an African woman.

  7. I am really impressed by her wisdom. Our ladies in Zambia are all brain-washed into denying what God gave them. They want to be Brazilians on their heads, White on their faces, and all dressed up in foreign fashions! At the end of the day, when one meets a Zambian lady, one in not meeting a real Zambian lady, but a copy of other nationalities! She is fake, without a country, vain, pretentious, and un-African. Our women MUST be proud of Zambia and who they are. I know that the great economic dispossessions of the Chiluba era and the current poor governance where the country has lost its identity now into dictatorship does not help matters. BUT they must have a soul for mother Zambia, and understand that all the economic crimes which the country was convinced to adopt could be reversed and the nation could regain its identity and care for its people. So our women must not become wishy-washy by denying the beauty which God gave them.

  8. My lady friend from Tanzania has always told me the same. Zambian ladies are indeed pathetic. I was recently in China for a short course with a Zimbabwean ladies. I was bombarded with requests from home for ” Brazilian hair”. When I asked the young zim lady for help for me to buy the said hair, I was surprised that she had no knowledge. This observation should indeed be an eye opener for our government.

  14. It is women like her who talk about other women badly and give women a bad name.
This woman is shallow minded. She should do her research before opening her mouth not talking based on rumours she has heard.

There are a lot of Zambian women who are working hard, making their own money. There are also a lot of Zambian women who have natural hair, lam one of them.

It is a woman’s right to choose whether she wants to be natural or wear a wig. No one has a right to judge.
    My body, my choice.

Women should biuld each other up not speak ill of each other.

She should stick to speaking about Rwanda because she clearly knows nothing about Zambia or Zambian women.

  15. Women should “build” each other up not speak ill of other women, especially when they have no facts on what they are talking about like this woman.

She clearly knows nothing about Zambian women just speaking from rumours she has heard.

She should visit Zambia and see how hard working Zambian women are. Women in Zambia are doing remarkable things.

  17. young lady its only that you have been brought up by a dictator kagame where you have no freedom of choice and i think it has been so difficult for you to find a man hence hatred towards men! no stupid girl not every woman in zambia is looked up by a man here some women work hard and look after families and some marry men and they beat men and kill men its 50:50 stubborn girl here in zambia ester phiri and Catherine phiri can beat all your men and there. look at nawakwi, inoge wina, talk of nkandu luo.the only problem here in zambia is that girls are raped defiled by relatives. they are not given an equal opportunity in education, jobs, and decision making. the only good thing ecl has done is by appointing women in decision making.except the careless and useless woman mumbi phiri i think she is the one you saw putting on wig with an insulting and trash stinking mouth . does your country have a female vice president? actually you are not the right person to be an example because you are spoon fade by your dictator father you can use tax payers money at any time you have never fought to raise your own money. our ladies do that. So keep quiet. Do not attack our ladies.

  19. But has she not straightened her hair? is she not wearing earrings? she has also trimmed her eyebrows. Are these not extra efforts to make herself beautiful?

Before you point fingers at others, remember your own four fingers are pointing at you.

Natural beauty does not require wearing earings or hair straightening or eyebrow trimming. I am not a zambian but the statement is not good.

  20. I doubt she even said this, nor is she aware that this little story is circulating the internet about her. I’m from Malawi, and another article is being circulated on whatsapp that she actually said “Malawian women”, not “Zambian”. Fake news, I suspect.

  22. Her hair is not natural, it is treated and her eyebrows are also tampered with, so she spends money on straightening creams and do not tell me she applies the cheapest lotion or petroleum jelly, that is what I call double standards.

Coming to hard work, I think she has unfairly advantage compared to most Zambian women. I have seen a lot of Zambian women being the providers of the families while their husbands are busy drinking. She should do some research before opening her house.

Coming to wigs, of course if a woman can afford to buy the wig, well and good. But I have seen ladies using money for food just to buy wigs, and that is ridiculous. And some women are so addicted to the wigs that you will never see them in their natural hair.

I am liberated, I used to buy and wear wigs, but when I went natural. At the moment I am visiting Europe and I am walking around in VIKUTI and everyone is recommending my looks. I feel strange when I weave my hair and I must say I have saved a lot of money by doing away with wigs and hair relaxers.
But at the end of the day we make our own choices.

  23. She’s no natural beauty. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. You can see that she’s clearly trying to enhance her looks. Shame about that Ostrich neck. Remember that Rwanda is still very backwards. They’re still very much into “Wet look” when it comes to hair (lol). The war in Rwanda has not helped matters. When did Zambian women do Wet look? I believe it was in the 80’s. That’s what exposure does to people. You go with the flow. That’s what Zambian women do. So stop hating on Zambian women. As for the skin lightening, at least they’ll have their “they came to stay” blemishes to look forward to in their old age. That’s not a pretty sight at all.

    • Generalisation is wrong. It’s not all Zambia women who wear wigs and use whitening creams and not all Zambia women depend on men. Some of us work, are independent and take care of not only our nuclear but also extended families. Very few Zambia women depend on men. Most Zambia women are very hardworking whether educated or not. That statement is unfortunate and if at all it was uttered, she must apologise to mothers of Zambia for the insulting language used. We surely deserve some respect. If she admires Zambia men, let her just say so. It’s very sad to read some comments of some women and men from Zambia who are in support of such a statement. I’m 100% sure everyone knows that it’s NOT all Zambia women who befits such a statement.
