OPPOSITION United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema was in show off mode when he bragged that he is routinely talking to United States of America President Donald Trump.
Hichilema said that Trump would soon deal with some African countries that he claimed were festering with dictatorship tendencies.
Ironically Trump that Hichilema is eulogizing has become a more synonymous with abuse of individuals rights with a well known war on immigrants and also citizens with traces from the middle east.
The UPND leader said that his party would take legal action if Zambia follows through its intention to withdraw from the International Criminal Court.
Hichilema said that his party would not allow President Edgar Lungu withdraw Zambia from the ICC.
He said that he had alerted the international community and they had guided him take legal action if such a move would be implemented.
Government has indicated that it will open up the matter for public debate over whether Zambia remains a member of the ICC or not.
