Zambia has been drawn in Group C at the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup to be hosted by South Korea.


The African Champions have been pitted against Portugal, Iran and Costa Rica following a draw conducted at the Suwon Atrium on Wednesday, March 15.


The Junior Chipolopolo will play their first two group matches with Portugal and Costa Rica in Jeju before shifting to Incheon for the match with Iran.


This is the Junior Chipolopolo’s third World Cup appearance at this level.


The class of 2007 made it to the knockout stage before being eliminated by Nigeria via a 2 – 1 scoreline.

B: Germany, Mexico, Venezuela, Vanuatu

C: Portugal, Costa Rica, Zambia, Iran

D: Uruguay, Japan, Italy, South Africa

E: France, New Zealand, Honduras, Vietnam

  4. Chipolopolo should work on more tactical and accurate passes. Their eyes should be on the ball and not on the name of any team in their group. Wonderful goal keeping by Mangani can bring the World Cup in Africa and Zambia in particular.
