With the shortage of chlorine in the country and the many interventions underway to bring to heel the cholera epidemic that has hit Zambia’s capital hard, Trade Kings Foundation through its Cholera Relief Project today begun the fulfillment of its commitment to supply free chlorine to the Ministry of Health for distribution to people in the worst affected areas.

The initial monthly allocation of 12 500 cases or 300 000 bottles of chlorine begins today with the first consignment being delivered to the Ministry of Health.
To put it into perspective, 1.2 million bottles of chlorine over four months translates to 750 million of sterile water that will go a long way to reduce the spread of cholera. The chlorine being donated by Trade Kings Foundation is strictly not for sale.
Trade Kings Foundation’s commitment in the fight against cholera can be evidenced by a previous donation of K2.1 million worth of materials to aid in the fight against cholera. The chlorine that is being manufactured exclusively for the Ministry of Health under Trade Kings Foundation’s Cholera Relief Project is not for sale and is being manufactured and packaged by Trade Kings cost of K2 million taking its contribution towards the fight against cholera to over K4 million. This initiative by Trade Kings Foundation was done to supplement the current shortage of the product that has hit the country since the escalation of the cholera epidemic in the country.
With many families being affected by the cholera outbreak, the cholera relief project is Trade Kings Foundation’s contribution towards its mandate towards investing in health and also fulfillment of Trade Kings’ commitment of Improving Lives.

One Response to Trade Kings pumps in another K2 Million towards Cholera fight

  1. Good venture but u pipo should identify the source of that cholera. Test Lusaka water and sewerage plants then chase away those Israelites or else that chlorine won’t do anything. Donot be daft like Lungu. As long as the Israelites are there cholera will not be defeated . They are the ones who are continuously infecting the waters
