Emmerson Mnangagwa is the most feared man in Zimbabwe and he is the Vice President. Well here are some little-known facts about the man:-

Emmerson Mnangagwa though he was born in Zimbabwe, grew up in Mumbwa then later Matero

Emmerson Mnangagwa may have held Zambian nationality at one time.

Emmerson Mnangagwa went to Hodgson Technical College later to become David Kaunda Technical School at the same time as Yotham Muleya

Emmerson Mnangagwa was a card-carrying UNIP member and took part in the Cha Cha CHa Independence Struggle. He operated in Lusaka and was later deployed to CHingola and Chililabombwe.

Emmerson Mungangwa speaks fluent Bemba, Nyanja and Tonga.

Emmerson Mnangagwa did military training in China and Egypt

Emmerson Mnangagwa led a group of freedom fighters who were called the Crocodile Gang. They committed sabotage and attacks on lonely farms. The first white farmer to die in the Zimbabwean Liberation struggle was killed by the Crocodile Gang

Emmerson Munangwa was captured and spent 7 years in jail in Zimbabwe and was deported by the Ian Smith Regime to Zambia in 1972 when he was released from prison.

Emmerson Mnangagwa did his Law degree at the University of Zambia and was called to the bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Zambia in 1976.

On Zimbabwe’s Independence Emmerson Munangagwa became the defacto Intelligence and Police chief as State Security Minister.

Emmerson Mnangagwa is considered to be the likeliest successor to Robert Mugabe and is the second most powerful man in Zimbabwe.

Emmerson Mnangagwa still has family in Zambia at the family farm in Mumbwa.

  1. I have been teaching at secondary school for a year now but no salary up grade. But government is priorities fire tender motor deal. Iam in CHOMA district sikalongo secondary.

  3. Whoever wrote this story does not have the latest up dates of what is currently obtaining in Zimbabwe.He was recently poisoned and Grace Mugabe is after him. God knows how long he will still be Vice President of Zimbabwe.
