HH welcomes Mulenga

Mulenga Sata is reportedly making desperate overtures to rejoin the Patriotic Front (PF), just seven months after dumping the ruling party for the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND).

This has come to light after the former Lusaka Province Minister was seen with President Edgar Lungu in South Africa. It is however not clear whether he is part of the President’s delegation.

In May, Sata shocked the country when he left the party founded by his father, the late Michael Sata, to join the UPND, a party led by his father’s erstwhile rival Hakainde Hichilema.

He was then adopted as the party’s parliamentary candidate for Kabwata but lost to the PF’s Given Lubinda, an outcome he challenged in the High Court.

But in a move widely seen as an attempt to get back into the good graces of his former party, the former Mayor of Lusaka abandoned his petition and started aiding Lubinda’s case.

Several PF sources have confirmed that Sata has been angling for a return to the party ever since it won the August 11 elections. It is however not clear whether the party will put him on hold for three years before readmitting him, as is the case with his fellow ‘prodigal son’son’ Miles Sampa.

  3. It would seem politics is for every failure who wants to be spoon fed from taxes paid by the hard working citizens. It pains me to be harassed and harangued by ZRA for the purpose of feeding political vultures. Money paid by taxpayers should be for the development of a country not these rasicals.Politicians should be paid allowances only. They are there to ransack the treasury, they don’t care about serving people. What a contrast Trump says will only get US$1 from his monthly salary of US $33,000.Can an African do that, never.Selfish as it may be,councillors have been denied pay when the constitution did not say so.All Politians are crooks.

  6. Mulenga, must be seen to be principled . Really it does not make sense for him to start lobbying for a re-admission in pf . PF have already set a precedence only to admit their erring members after 3years . That is the kind of discipline we all want from a party that is aimed at promoting sanity and in the way morals must be upheld .

  15. He is a bad nut if this is true. How do you jump from one tree to the other searching for money NOT to serve the poor Zambian masses.

The Zambian politicians’ conscience is now dead. Full of inconsistencies. What makes them think that Zambians are stupid pipo and they cannot read their motives.

Let us be serious for once. Why do we hurt this nation that politicians don’t care for whatsoever decisions they make on behalf of the pipo.

Leaders should always lead by example. Their morals should inspire those aspiring to be national leaders.
