PF emerges victors in ward by-elections, gets into UPND strongholds

The ruling party, Patriotic Front (PF) has won all the nine ward seats in it’s stronghold and grabbed four out of seven in the opposition UPND stronghold in Tuesday’s local government by-elections.

The PF stronghold, the Northern and East region that includes Copperbelt, Luapuala, Northern and Eastern provinces, the PF says it has won in all the wards:

1. Kakoma, Mafinga in Muchinga
2. Kalebe, Shiwang’andu in Muchinga
3. Mikunku, Chinsali in Muchinga
4. Luapula, Kalulushi in Copperbelt;
5. Kansunswa, Mufulira in Copperbelt.
6. Ntumbachushi, Kawamabwa in Luapula
7. Munwa, Mwense in Luapula
8. Chiweza, Nyimba in Eastern
9. Chiwuyu, Sinda in Eastern

Suprisingly, the PF has made some penetration in the UPND strongholds, winning in the following:

1. Kalilele, Mushindamo in North Western
2. Kanongo, Kasempa in North Western
3. Lealui, Mongu in Western; and
4. Nampundwe, Shibuyunji in Central

But UPND continued to show resilience and revote against the ruling party in Southern province where in one ward outskirt of Monze the party won with a landslide.

  3. the UPND is expected to be thrown into a dust bin by 2021 for many reasons. 1. selfishness. 2.Tribalism addicted.3. poor leadership.4.no heart for the poor including persons with disabilities.5. political immaturity .6. poor campaign propaganda.7. anti social behavior .8.shanga ujane nor arms giving and many more.
