Personal view: Lungu’s divided Zambia

President Edgar Lungu

Good evening country men and women,we are all aware that tomorrow the two magistrates will be in court, the two magistrates one will be a delivering judgment while the other one magistrate Simusamba will be informing court attendees together with our president the way forward on the treason charge which is already defined as bad at law.

Nevertheless, for now my issue is mr Edgar chagwa Lungu broke the silence on what has been kept as his top secret on “one Zambia one nation” motto. He openly told the nation that, one Zambia one nation motto is a thing of the past and Zambia is deeply divided, but he couldn’t be magnanimous enough to spell out the boundaries and which part of the once United Zambia he is in charge, since Zambia is nolonger a unitary state under one government with one republican president.

From yesterday afternoon upon receiving his pronouncement of Zambia nolonger a unitary state,I have tried to have a deep personal reflection and took a long journey of imagination of what could have been the reactions from men and women who fought for our independence and a United Zambia under one Zambia one nation motto! ” Amongst the many early freedom fighters who came into my mind immediately during my deep personal reflection were, kapasa makasa, formarly Robert speedwell makasa, liso mungoni,Harry mwanga nkumbula, mainza choma,Elija mudenda, venon Johnson mwaanga(VJ),simon mwansa kapwepwe, mama kankasa, chalimonka,Kenneth kaunda,Hamweende kayumba, kalulu, sipalo, the wina family,Grey Zulu, malimba masheke and many others the list is endless. These men and women fought hard to have a United Zambia under one Zambia one nation motto. It’s not only an insult to the above men and women who struggled to bring independence and sustainable development under one Zambia one nation motto, but mischievous and an embarrassment to the pf government and a direct insult to Edgar chagwa Lungu himself. This division is as a result of his poor leadership coupled with his lack of ability to respect the constitution of Zambia.

We have men and women in the security wings and civil servants in general who are always complaining of how pf government have destroyed the institutions which were meant to promote and protect good governance in the country.

The man, instead of taking advantage of Mrs simon kapwepwe’s wife ‘s burial by delivering a message of unity, love and forgiveness,he brings the message of disunity and sustainable division in the country.I expected Dr Kenneth kaunda and Rupiah Banda to immediately rebuke him for his nonsensical speech, knowing that the burial was for a woman whose husband fought for unity and freedom for all under one Zambia one nation motto. But Dr Kenneth Kaunda and Rupiah Banda seems to be cut from the same human branch of political oppressors who love to see division in our country. These two former presidents have been a let down, they have failed to speak out with authority for the voiceless and the oppressed in Zambia. We have seen them tutoring dictator in the making and keeping quite when their guidance is required in the country.

Let us invite our almighty God as wait for tomorrow’s HH ‘case in court.

God is on our side.

Neto Halwabala.
Voice for the voiceless/freedom fighter.

  5. John you are really immature and does not know what Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe stool for.
First when you talk about independence it’s Kapwepwe who stood firm not to allow the colonialist , continue to be part of the new era. Informed Kk that there shall never be a room to accommodate colonial matters and their supporters. When KK was imprisoned, it was Kapwepwe who was the leader of UNIP and it was discussed and agreed that KK will rule for ten years and Kapwepwe will take over on rotation basis with Mudenda, Nalumino also have to rule Zambia as presidents but Kk became greed and abandoned the agreement. Kapwepwe never discriminated or over look at any tribe in Zambia. John find any piece of information about Kapwepwe demeaning other tribes and the answer is none to date. He was philosophical in his predictions and all he said came to pass
Zambians in 80s will be buy a loaf of bread carry money in a wheelbarrow. You will be lining for essential commodities dawn time before you buy. Africa twase bana lelo teti tulabe, it’ happened and today people are laughing about what is happening to Zambia after 52 years of independence living side by side in harmony and tranquility to day what can we show to the outside world rather hatred and envy . Some small minded people says Bembas when no single Bemba has ruled this country or advocated or advocates for inhuman of another human being created in the image of God. Lungu is not Bemba, mwanawasa ill treated Chiluba. Ruphia mistreated Sata . Kaunda mistreated and humiliated Kapwepwe till his death but can someone point out where the Bemba ill treated a Ngoni, Kaonde, Lozi or Tonga? No the only problem is Bembas know how to play politics

  6. The writer of this article is good for nothing these are the chaps advocating for secession so that hh can be put as the almighty president in their perceived land of honey and manna. Dont pretend jst go ahead with your hidden agendas and u wl regret the way he wl rule u! He is purpoted to be the richest man on earth bt why are most his relatives languishing in abject poverty? A unifier bt why agitating for violence and vandalism of infrastructure all the time? Why burning houses and farms for bembas living in your land and chasing them frm there? Surely wont u need these people at some point? Is this what u call unifying? Dats why i loved SATA mhsrip, he never encouraged his supporters 2physically fight for him or destroy property for the nation AWE MUKWAI! Bt he could always restrain them even when he was burdened wth the loss of an election esp.2008.

  7. Lessons to chief mukuni, when chiluba was arrested by mwanawasa mwata kazembe of luapula never took a stance to say he chiluba was a son of his soil so he should be released unconditionally NOOOOO!!!! Bt simply respected the law to take its course. Is the chief telling us that frm his chifdom no one breaks the law? All these you see in prizons belong 2one chiefdom or the other. SATA was also arrested and spent a good number of days in prison chitimukulu never rose wth wrinkles and symbols as if to vecome the judge NOOOOO!!! and many more u knw them so take a leaf frm yo collegues and be neutral courts are there to protect evry one treated unfairly DATS Y PIPO SAY U ARE TOO TRIBAL. wth the son of yo soil. 8. @ truth pains, there is a difference in how the police were operating in the days of Chiluba and Sata and the way they are operating now. In those days, the law used to be followed and respected unlike now where the constitution is just a piece of paper. The police used to investigate and arrest someone only when they are convinced that they have enough facts of wrong doing. These days you are arrested first and investigations follow later while you remain languishing in prison.
You expect people to keep quiet oike this?
