Nkombo tells Parliament that PF is corrupt, refuses to apologise

Garry Nkombo

Mazabuka opposition UPND Member of Parliament caused stir in Parliament today when he refused to bow to the Speaker’s directive that he retracts and apologies for calling PF government corrupt.

Nkombo charged that the PF government is corrupt but when a point of order was raised by a PF MP on whether the Mazabuka MP was in order to accuse government of being corrupt without evidence, Speaker Patrick Matibini ruled that he was out of order.

The Speaker directed that Nkombo apologise and retract his statement because he had not shown evidence supporting his allegation.

But Nkombo refused to apologise and instead he together with other UPND MPs in protest walked out of the chamber. The UPND MPs only returned to the house after about 15 minutes.

The Speaker has however reserved ruling on the conduct exhibited by Nkombo who is the UPND leader in the house.

  3. Garry don’t try to apologize or give evidence. Lungu himself said it all. It will take the whole week to catalogue all the corruption in PF. Let Matibini pretend there is no evidence. He can do whatever he wishes.
