Napsa Stars take early League leadership

Napsa Stars took early command of the MTN/FAZ Super Division table when they beat Nchanga Rangers 3-0 at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
A Chitiya Mususu brace and a Luka Banda goal gave the pensioners victory over Nchanga Rangers at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka.

Napsa Stars took the lead in the 45th minute through Banda who headed a Colllins Sikombe corner with Mususu adding two goals in the 77th and 90th minute.

The pensioners stand on top of the log alongside Green Eagles and Lumwana Radiants who beat City of Lusaka and Forest Rangers respectively.

Defending champions Zanaco were held to a 1-all draw by Red Arrows on match day one at Heroes Stadium.
Bruce Musakanya had put Honour Janza’s Red Arrows in the 19th minute but Zanaco skipper Ziyo Tembo levelled matters in the 24th minute.

Red Arrows skipper Bronson Chama saw red in the 48th minute when he fouled Ernest Mbewe with referee Audrick Nkole giving him marching orders.

In Kitwe Nakambala Leopards stunned Nkana with a 1-all draw that saw striker Walter Bwalya score a goal and miss a penalty while Lameck Banda earned the visitors a point.

Bwalya had put Nkana ahead in the 29th minute but Banda cancelled the lead in the 36th minute to silence Nkana fans.
