Charles Musonda and his Son, Charly

Chipolopolo icon Charles Musonda’s son Charly Jr. has scored his first goal for the Chelsea first team as the London giants trashed Nottingham Forest 5-1 to book a place in the EFL Cup’s last 16.

Musonda Jr. scored the third goal five minutes from half time after Kenedy (13) and Michy Batshuayi (19) had put the Premier League champions 2-0 up, firing low and hard into the bottom far corner following Cesc Fabregas’ inventive pass.

The 20-year-old, who is still eligible to play for Zambia as he is yet to play a competitive match for Belgium, almost grabbed his second on the stroke of half-time when Fabregas lofted a superb pass over the Forest defence but Musonda’s first-time chip over the onrushing Henderson drifted wide of the upright.

Two more strikes from Batshuayi made sure Chelsea posted an easy 5-1 as Antonio Conte’s side comfortably accounted for the second-tier visitors, who pulled one back through Tendayi Darikwa in stoppage time.
Musonda Jr’s performance in the match was hailed as “magical” by the world’s most prominent football website,

  7. What unforgivable crime did Charlie Musonda commit? After all, he is a Zambian. Avoid unnecessary grudges.
