United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema says President Edgar Lungu knows that he was illegitimately sworn in and is so scared that he even shivers when walking. He says Lungu allegedly stole his election victory.
The UPND leader says Lungu was not declared validly elected by the Constitutional Court since there was a petition challenging his election. He says Lungu well knows this saying whatever has happened to have him restored as Head of State as illegal.
Hichilema says the fight is still on for him to reclaim his alleged stolen election victory in the August 11 elections.
Hichilema or HH as he is commonly called has maintained that he won the elections and that President Lungu colluded with the Electoral Commission of Zambia to manipulate the outcome.
He says since President Lungu was in-charge of state machinery he made it impossible for the presidential petition to be heard.
HH accused the three Constitutional Court Judges whowho dismissed his petition of being corrupt. He wondered how the three Judges who together with the other Judges had ruled that they would hear his petition outside the 14 days constitution window changed their decision after a weekend.
Hichilema was speaking to Journalists after visiting his supporters and party officials who are remanded at Chimbokaila Prison in Lusaka. He urged his supporters to remain strong and continue fighting for their rights.
He was accompanied by Vice-president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM), National Trustee Bernard Mpundu, Mazabuka MP Gary Nkombo, Choma Central MP Cornelius Mweetwa, Chirundu MP Douglas Siakalima and other party officials.
