Minister of Information Kampamba Mulenga has unveiled Media Boards.
The Minister unvailed the names at a press briefing in Lusaka today.
Mulenga named the new board members for the Times Printpak as Gideon Mwewa, Mable Mung’omba,  Nakiwe Simpungwe, Horrace Longwe and Bwalya Mwila.
Others are Nkusuwila Nachalwe, Lydia Mpepo,  Godfrey Malama Bestone Ng’onga.
The Zambia Daily Mail board members are Geoffrey Simukoko, Maureen Nkandu,  Winstone Siwale,  Simon Mwale and Dr Gillian Mwamba.
The rest are Dr Chanda Mulenga,  Godfrey Malama and Nebat Mbewe.
She has since challenged the new board members to ensure that the financial challenges at the two institutions are resolved, saying this is the only way they can be self-sustaining.
Mulenga says government also expects the new boards to strengthen the editorial and business side of the two newspapers so that they make profits.

  1. from all the names of the board members..there won’t be any financial accountability because we all know what those people are good at..shame..another missed call!

  2. All the members nominated are either from the northern/muchinga provinces or the wako-ni-wako province (eastern province)? This is why the Grade 12 results are suspicious. Food for thought.

  3. Kindly someone help me come to grasp about the appointments.
I want to believe that appointments happen on merit not nepotism.I want to believe that the appointing authority can only at any given time appoint so few out of the so many equally capable citizens.I want to quash the intonation that “these people come from Province so and so and are good at a,b,c.”. Fellows these appointed citizens are Zambian and are going to serve masses of ethnicities. So please, dont thrive on minors when we have Major’s to help government solve such as better service delivery to citizens of Zambia. Minister Mulenga I fully support you on this one. God bless Zambia.
