Katuba opposition UPND Member of Parliament Jonas Shakafuswa says he hopes Miles Sampa’s party is not formed to propagate a Bemba president.
Shakafuswa however says It’s is good that a youthful leader in Miles who considers as a brother has finally come out and founded a political party.
“I congratulate him. I just hope this party is not premised on a belief, as GBM put it that ” a Bemba can only be a President or vice President,” Shakafuswa says.
“This kind of thought has no place in modern day Zambia,” he charges.
Shakafuswa says “It will also be interesting to hear Miles’ take on political violence as he was the one of the major sponsor of violence in PF. He sent thugs to go and beat up people in church whose sin was praying for the enactment of a new constitution at the Matero Bicoga church. He sent thugs t disrupt the Katuba by election. But these got a hidding from my people.”
The outspoken Katuba MP says people have to learn that in politics there will always be divergent views.
He says a good leader accepts and tolerate other people’s views. He says he hopes Sampa has learnt his lesson and will do better.
