HH addressing rally in Nampundwe

UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has declared that victory is now certain for his party in Chilanga by-election.

Addressing his last rally in Nampundwe ward on the eve of the election, Hichilema said his party has already won the seat what is needed was to protect the vote.

He urged his members to ensure that voters and votes are protected to stop the PF from tempering with the wishes of the people of Chilanga.

“To all our members, work has just begun and that is to protect both the voters and votes. We are alert and no one will be allowed to play with the people’s choice. We call on law enforcement agencies, to protect our citizens in Chilanga as they exercise their democratic right. The police have so far done a relatively commendable job under very difficult circumstances,” stated Hichilema.

“Chilanga residents, tomorrow go and vote for our candidate, a vote for UPND translates into a vigorous fight against the corrupt in our country. We are confident that tomorrow the people of Chilanga will emerge victorious by voting for UPND.

Abena Chilanga, go and vote for your party of choice with a vision and that is UPND.”

Four parties are vying for the seat that fell vacant following the conviction of Keith Mukata for murder who held the seat on UPND ticket.

A win for the PF will consolidate the it’s position of penetrating the opposition stronghold after winning a number of seats in the last local government by-elections.

The opposition accused PF of having used violence to win the ward by-elections and in Chilanga it has vowed to fightback.

  1. UPND should be ashamed in its choice of candidate. Goes to show politicians have no principle other than winning. Don’t vote.

  2. Why since you have a competitor in the ruling party , may be if your candidate didn’t have some issues but as it stands now you should have some worries .
Zambian as they are they regard morality as one virtue for leadership however we shall wait and see what happens .
