UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has left Lusaka for the much anticipated party card renewal exercise in Chipata, Eastern Province.

Hichilema is accompanied by UPND deputy secretary general for politics Patrick Mucheleka, mobilisation chairperson Sylvia Masebo and senior citizen Ambassador Joe Mwale.

The country’s main opposition leader is tomorrow, Saturday expected to officially launch the Eastern Province card renewal exercise at Chipata’s Mpezeni park.

Eastern Province visit by Hichilema becomes his fifth provincial visit after his arrest and subsequent brutal treatment by the State before and during detention.

Police had initially blocked the scheduled card renewal exercise but for the intervention of Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo.

He is the one dividing this nation look at tribal voting pattern it all came because of his desperation to presidency.
