Government blocks US Senate delegate from visiting Zambia

In what appears to be explosion of serious diplomatic cracks and breakdown of International relations at Zambian Govt level.

Barely 24 hrs after the Zambian authority denied entry to South Africa’s main Opposition DA Leader Mmusi Maimane , Zambian Govt has blocked the scheduled trip to Zambia by a US Senate delegated Senator who should have come to Zambia to visit the UPND Leader Hihilema in prison and take keen interest in the torture and bad treatment by the state .It’s not clear why even the US delegate has been blocked .

Barely a week , EU Parliament voted to action to compel Zambian Govt to immediately release Mr Hihilema as his case is bad at Law and wondered how a ” ROAD RAGE ” constituted treason a charge that attracts a capital punishment of death by hanging if convicted.

  3. My dad once told me that a thief would do anything to guard his true nature. When you steal, you will never have peace of mind. All your actions, words and emotional feelings will go towards protecting your silly history. You can be a King, a president, an MP or even a chief, but if you entered that seat through dubious means, you are as good as a common thief. Thieves are a danger to society. They are known to deprive true owners of their rights, they can kill those who have hints of what they did and more especially when they no longer trolling their lines, they can break friendships all for a silver, etc.

As true Zambians, I really believe we need to rethink of our passiveness to the gross violations of human rights perpetuated by own government. Our Government is copying from leaders like Dos Santos, Mugabe, Museveni, Kagame, etc where only the ruling party’s voice is heard. It is dangerous and a very good recipe for civil wars. Look at the way Angola is governed, a rich country whose people cannot even afford tapped water. Look at the way Zimbabwe has fallen, Look at DR Congo, Look at how a prouder nation Rwanda was and look at how its people now are afraid of talking about the issue that affect them today. Let’s rethink our passiveness to governance issues or else risk going the DR Congo, Zimbabwe, etc way.

  4. This is not a problem at all for the US. Not even one problem. They will just switch off foreign assistance budget for Zambia. Period. And they should do it as a matter of urgency. US dollars should not be used to prop up dictators.

  5. Lungu is really an embarrassment. It’s the international community put pressure for him to resign. After all he is a president sworn in by a court registrar and cannot prove that he won

  12. Now we know the green eyed demon who pretends to be pioneering christianity in this country, in order to hide his true colours! exposing his true colours in this way, starts the begining of his end, now he is desperate to cheat pipo in churches about his forged humbleness, as well torture his enermies, which is his real nature!

Now he blocks super arbitrator and donor. Hhmmm aaah sleepless nights for him. What is he protecting? We are loosing grip. Imagine they flew in at the level of “international force” whicn they have done to some named middle east ckuntry, it will be bad and America can do that.
Mushota advise you disoriented man. It is not treason it is traffic offence. But even so what happened to police before you can even slap the traffic offence…. All is just rubbish if our judiciary was an upright one.
