Guinea and Egypt battled to a 1-all draw in the second Group A game of the Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations match played at the Heroes Stadium Wednesday Afternoon.

Egypt took the lead against the run of play in the 37th minute. Nasser Elhamid fashioned space for himself before brillianly scooping the ball over the Guinea defense and into the path of Mostafa Abdallah who volleyed into the bottom corner.

Guinea chased the equaliser from then on, missing a myriad of guilt-edged chances as the Young Paraohs hang on for dear life.

With the three points seemingly destined to go the Egyptians’ way, the West Africans finally got the deserved equaliser 10 minutes from time and it came from substitute Yamodou Traore.

The 18-year-old took things personal, racing down the left flank before cutting inside and firing an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net with the outside of his left foot, much to the delight of the few Zambian fans in attendance.

The result means Egypt move into second spot with two points while Guinea and Mali are level with a point apiece.
