Documentary: Moringa, the lucrative tree

Moringa is a commonly grown tree crop native to asia and parts of Africa. In Zambia, the crop is mostly used for its medicinal properties with a few business minded people transforming it into high value products.

In this documentary, Pennipher highlights the economic value of the tree and initiatives being coordinated by the Moringa Development Association of Zambia towards increased growing and processing of this lucrative tree.

Pennipher also speaks to Zambian Professors working in the United States and South Africa that are leading studies on the mutiple uses of moringa.

A Dutch consultant contracted by the Dutch Enterprise Agency speaks of market available in Europe. At the same, Zambia Agriculture Research Institute outlines its role in growing the sector.
